University Theatre

University Theatre is OU’s mainstage performance series offering an annual season of musicals, plays, dance, and opera. Each year features nine fully produced shows – from musicals to comedies, operas to contemporary dance – designed to showcase creativity, performance, design, and choreography at a high level.
Performances are staged in multiple theaters across campus, each with its own style and atmosphere. The venues include:
- Elsie C. Brackett Theatre, known for its intimate musical theatre settings.
- Weitzenhoffer Theatre, a versatile performance space well suited for dramatic works and bold staging.
- Reynolds Performing Arts Center, one of Oklahoma’s most historic and elegant performance halls, often used for grander music and full ensemble shows.
