Max Westheimer Annual Aviation Festival 

The perfect event for airplane and flight enthusiasts. 

Norman’s Max Westheimer Airport plays host to the University of Oklahoma’s Annual Aviation Festival – giving flight and airplane enthusiasts a chance to see aircraft and equipment up close, and in use! This event includes an open house of the facility, aircraft displays, tours of the control tower and much more. Children will also enjoy a hands-on hangar and activity area to both play and learn about flight. 

OU’s School of Aviation at the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences was named the “top university to consider when pursuing a degree in aviation,” by Flying Magazine and is leading the nation in producing the next wave of talented pilots. With OU’s presence as host, visitors can also enjoy Sooner pageantry like the Sooner Schooner, mascots, and colors in full view.
