Father’s Day is a time to show your dad, stepdad, or father-figure how much they mean to you. From a fun-filled day outdoors to a heartfelt gift or a meal shared, Norman has plenty of ways to celebrate.

This year, Father’s Day falls on Sunday, June 21, which also happens to be the longest day of 2026. A little extra sunshine means getting outside and experiencing all Norman has to offer is a great way to celebrate, and this guide has you covered with all the must-do events, activities, dining, and shopping.

Local Events on Father’s Day Weekend

Want to start the celebration a little bit early? Norman has several local events that fall on Father’s Day weekend, before or after Sunday’s festivities, that are perfect if you want to make a whole weekend out of it. Because why should celebrating dad be limited to one day?

For the musically inclined dad, Jazz in June makes a great Father’s Day weekend activity. This three-day festival will take place at Andrews Park from June 18-20 and is not only family-friendly but also free!

If your dad is into pop culture, fantasy, sci-fi, or gaming, Oklahoma’s longest-running pop culture convention, Soonercon, will be in town from June 19-21. The convention will be held at the Embassy Suites, and tickets can be purchased ahead of time on the Soonercon website.
