One highlight during this month’s Art Walk is “Humans of Norman” at Robinson’s Repurposed, an exhibit inspired by the popular Humans of New York project. Throughout the evening, visitors can experience the work of six local photographers who spent time capturing the heart of Norman, its city and its people.

In addition to the exhibit, Robinson’s Repurposed will also feature local vendors to shop from, a photobooth, and interactive ways to connect with the community, making it a great stop during your Art Walk adventure.

Shamrock Gold Quest 5K & Fun Run, March 14

Get moving this Spring Break at the Shamrock Gold Quest 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run, hosted by Norman Parks & Recreation at Ruby Grant Park.

Shamrock Gold Quest

Participants can take on a timed off-road 5K or enjoy the untimed 1-mile run or walk while searching for hidden gold coins along the course to win fun prizes. Whether you’re aiming for a personal record or just in it for the treasure hunt, this festive race is packed with St. Patrick’s Day fun.

For participants 21 and over, the event also features a 1-Mile Beer Run, where runners drink a beer at the start and at each quarter mile along the route.

Dogs and strollers are welcome, so it’s a fun way for the whole crew to get outside and celebrate the holiday.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations, March 17

Norman knows how to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, and several beloved traditions return this year.

O'Connell's St' Patricks Day

O’Connell’s Irish Pub hosts its 58th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Party, beginning bright and early at 7 a.m. This historic event has become a staple of the holiday in Norman and draws crowds each year for a full day of festivities.

Later in the morning, head to BIG Brewing Company for their St. Patrick’s Day celebration starting at 11 a.m. One of the most entertaining traditions of the day is Beer Choir, where participants can sing along while enjoying a pint.

Norman Arts Council “ONE Half-Century: 1976”, March 21

Celebrate 50 years of the Norman Arts Council at ONE Half-Century: 1976, a groovy night of art, music, and community at MAINSITE Contemporary Art!

One Half Century

This festive evening invites guests to step into the spirit of 1976 as Norman’s arts community gathers for drinks, food, live music, and plenty of celebration. It’s one of the biggest arts parties and fundraisers of the year.

All proceeds from the event support the Norman Arts Council’s work in the community.
