Rally Kitchen + Bar - 542 S. University Blvd.

Situated on the first floor of the NOUN Hotel, Rally Kitchen + Bar serves American cuisine with an air of sophistication. As a bonus, it is located just steps from OU’s campus, making it easy to visit on commencement weekend. 

 

Othello’s - 434 Buchanan St. 

Opening daily at 4 p.m., Othello’s is a family-owned Italian restaurant located just north of OU’s campus, making it another nearby (and very tasty) option for those looking to grab dinner after or before graduation.  

 

Legend’s Restaurant - 1313 W. Lindsey 

Another family-owned spot that’s been serving Norman for over 50 years, Legend’s Restaurant serves seafood dishes, pasta, steaks, and more. Pro tip: don’t skip their lemon cream cake for dessert! 

 

For a Casual Celebration: 

If something laid-back sounds more like your graduate’s speed, there are plenty of spots in Norman that offer delicious food and casual vibes. 

 

The Standard - 315 E. Gray St. 

Perfect for when you’ve got a big group in tow, The Standard has plenty of space and food options to feed a crowd. They’re also open late on weekends till 11 p.m. if you want to keep the party going after graduation!

Where to Keep the Fun Going

Why stop the fun after commencement? While you’re in town, check out the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, located on the southern portion of the University of Oklahoma’s campus! The museum houses over 10 million objects divided into 12 collections, meaning there’s no shortage of exhibits for you to explore during your visit. OU students also receive free admission to the museum! 

 

Another engaging attraction that is also located right on OU’s campus is the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. With a collection featuring over 20,000 objects, including works by beloved artists such as Claude Monet, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Vincent van Gogh, the museum is a great place to visit during graduation weekend. 

 

If spending time outdoors enjoying Oklahoma’s spring weather is more up your alley, then check out the first annual Norman Arts Festival that is set to take place May 16-17. The festival is free and will be held at Andrew’s Park, located only 10 minutes from OU’s campus!
