Norman’s Ale Trail provides visitors a unique and engaging way to spend an afternoon.

The fun lies not only in the craft brews you’ll try, but also in the ease of navigation. The entire Ale Trail is located on Main Street in Downtown Norman, with the bookend breweries being less than a mile from one another. This allows you to find parking with ease and ensures you’ll never be too far from your vehicle as you dive into Norman’s exciting craft brewery scene. From EDO district’s Lazy Circle Brewing to Legally Brewed, there’s plenty of fun to go around.

Norman Ale Trail Breweries

(405) Brewing Co.

Address: 205 E. Main St. (Event Space: 1716 Topeka Dr.)

Founded as Norman’s original craft brewery, (405) Brewing Co. expanded to Main Street in 2024. Their first location on Topeka Dr., now dedicated to events, allows the brewery to welcome casual visitors to a new, vibrant downtown space while hosting private gatherings at the original site.

(405) Brewing Co. is celebrated for their innovative stouts, sours and lagers. Guests can enjoy 12 distinct taps, featuring options to satisfy every palate — from sweet and fruity selections to mild ales, ambers, and robust coffee stouts.

Featured Beer: Magic Whip

 (405) Beer

Inspired by some of the fruity, soft serve refreshments found at fairs, the Magic Whip is (405)'s answer to a hot summer. "Magic Whip is a sweeter sour," said (405) Brewing Co. co-owner Jonathan Stapleton. "The fruit is added post-fermentation. Generally on the sweeter side rather than a piercing sourness. Magic Whip is definitely easy to drink and is very approachable for drinkers new to the world of sour beer."

Legally Brewed

Address: 123 W Main St.

What began as a passion project of home-brewing in a garage has evolved into one of Norman’s more outstanding breweries. Why is it called “Legally Brewed?” Because one of the three owners is a lawyer. Their mission has been to “make a beer for someone who never thought they’d like beer.”

Legally Brewed offers over a dozen of brews on draft with lights and ales, sours, hoppy options, darker choices, and seltzers. Don't think of the beers as "on tap," think of them as "in court."

Their space is always lively with live music events, karaoke, bingo/singo events and more going on frequently.

Beer is Good Brewing Company

Address: 216 E Main St

Beer is Good Brewing Company’s (otherwise known around town as BIG Brewing Co.) mantra is all about versatility. Their small batch brewing philosophy allows for frequent rotation of their draft choices for visitors to enjoy. Beat the rush before they come up with the next popular craft brew on Norman's Ale Trail.

Their brewing techniques have been honed for over 20 years, providing visitors with options ranging from the classics to new cutting-edge brews. Whether you go for “hop-loaded juice bombs, light and refreshing lagers, roasty thick stouts, and hefty slow sippers,” Beer is Good never leaves a visitor unhappy.

There’s always something going on around the taproom for visitors to enjoy – live music, bingo on Thursdays, or brunchtails on Sundays.

Lazy Circles Brewing

Lazy Circle has been a Norman staple since 2017. In addition to numerous popular craft beers, their community-driven business and atmosphere help them hold a unique place in the town’s heart. With the brewery’s location in EDO district, Lazy Circle becomes the hub for all things fun during community events like 2nd Friday Art Walk.

IPA’s with hops from each coast, chocolate stouts (and imperial stouts), to go along with Belgians brews, Lazy Circle will take care of you. Their traditional styles leave customers happy and coming back again and again.

For the bicycle enthusiasts out there, Lazy Circle is also "home to the world's best brewery bike ride in the world."

Das Boot Camp

Address: 229 E Main St

Das Boot Camp is unique in that its primary function is that of a traditional German restaurant. Their menu offers authentic German cuisine, some with an American twist, all made from scratch -- but you're here for the beverages, and Das Boot Camp won't disappoint.

Their beers are all crafted at their parent restaurant, Royal Bavaria in Moore. This is the only place you'll get to enjoy their handcrafted German beers in Norman.

The best part is you can order them in a boot (hence the name). From light to dark and the occasional seasonal brew, Das Boot Camp is a unique stop on Norman's Ale Trail.

This blond, mild, low-hop quaffing lager is the most popular choice at Das Boot Camp. Goes great in a glass and, as you can see, in a boot!
