Gray Owl Coffee - Gray Owl Coffee on Gray St. is a favorite of multiple generations of Sooner students and alumni. The extended space – along with a back patio – allows for enough room to work on your studies, jump on a Zoom call, or kick back and enjoy some of their delicious coffee and home-baked goods.
You’ve gotta try: You can’t go wrong with their handmade cookies and cinnamon rolls.
Yellow Dog Coffee Company - What started as a family business on a local farm has since grown into one of Norman’s popular coffee and roasting houses. Yellow Dog Coffee Company’s charm is not just in their great cups of coffee, but in their process. They’re the only roaster in Norman, so your coffee’s beans are made right before you dive into your morning’s first cup.
You’ve gotta try: Go basic and enjoy a regular cup of coffee first, we won’t get mad at you if you add a little cream or sugar after the first taste!
Beanstalk Coffee and Sno - One of Norman’s staples, Beanstalk Coffee and Sno's multiple locations on Main St., Eastside 12th Ave., and Westside 36th Ave., allow anyone exploring the city a chance to enjoy their tasty drinks and treats. Students at the University of Oklahoma are often found at the downtown location since it’s less than a mile north of campus.
You’ve gotta try: Locals love the Golden Goose and Silver Fox lattes.

Press & Plow - Press & Plow’s atmosphere will make you want to stay for an extra morning drink after you’ve finished eating. Their Lindsey St. location (there's also a location on Tecumseh Rd.) welcomes students and visitors to OU’s campus with smiles, good coffee, and even better food.
You’ve gotta try: Their French Toast looks like art and tastes even better.

The Earth Café & Deli - Tucked away in a shaded area off Flood, The Earth Café & Deli has given Norman residents and visitors a unique experience every time. As a local grocery store, restaurant, and all-around hang-out spot, The Earth’s a can’t-miss Norman visit.

Green Feather Book Company - Don’t have a book you to enjoy at some of these spots? Look no further than Green Feather Book Company. As Norman’s oldest and first independently owned bookstore, Green Feather Book Company has maintained their charm and comforting setting over the years. The store is Indigenous and woman-owned and has a focus on Indigenous authors and subjects. Find everything from local works, the popular books of the year, and the classics.
You’ve gotta try: Their lounge is a cozy and comfy area to read your next favorite book.
