There’s something brewing in Downtown Norman this October.
Norman Brewtoberfest returns Saturday, October 3, and this year, the annual celebration of local craft beer is quite literally bringing things home.
For the first time, Brewtoberfest is heading Downtown, taking over the street in front of the Norman Depot at 200 S. Jones Ave. from 4 to 10 p.m. And the new location feels especially fitting considering all three breweries pouring at this year’s festival already call Downtown Norman home.
Beer Is Good Brewing Company, Lazy Circles Brewing and Legally Brewed will come together just a few blocks from their own taprooms for an evening filled with local beer, live music, food trucks, shopping, games and plenty of fall fun.
Admission is free, all ages are welcome and the whole thing happens outdoors, so bring a lawn chair and settle in.

Meet the Downtown Breweries Pouring at Brewtoberfest
Beer Is Good Brewing Company | 216 E. Main St
Tucked into Downtown Norman, Beer Is Good Brewing Company, lovingly known as BIG, has become a go-to gathering spot for local craft beer fans.
The brewery has a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere that works just as well for catching up with friends as it does for settling in and trying something completely new on tap.
Known for rotating experimental brews alongside dependable favorites, BIG leans into creativity without making craft beer feel intimidating. Its tap list regularly spans crisp lagers, hop-forward IPAs, rich stouts and seasonal releases, so there is usually something familiar alongside something you probably haven’t tried before.
That experimentation is part of what makes BIG such a fun stop in Downtown Norman. If you like ordering a flight, comparing a few pours and discovering a new favorite, there is usually plenty to explore.
Lazy Circles Brewing | 422 E. Main St
Part brewery, part neighborhood hangout, Lazy Circles Brewing has carved out its own cozy corner of Norman’s craft beer scene.
Its house-made brews rotate regularly and cover plenty of ground, from light and refreshing pours to hoppier, richer and more complex styles. That ever-changing tap list makes each visit a little different and gives both longtime regulars and first-time guests something new to look forward to.
Lazy Circles also frequently hosts pop-ups, events and local collaborations, giving the brewery a community-driven feel that fits naturally with what Brewtoberfest is all about.
Legally Brewed | 123 W. Main St
Legally Brewed brings personality, creativity and a little legal flair to Norman’s brewery lineup.
Founded by University of Oklahoma law students, the Downtown taproom has built a reputation around creative beer, lively events and a playful personality rooted in its law school beginnings.
One of the first details visitors tend to notice is the gavels attached to the beer taps, a small but memorable nod to those roots.
The brewery keeps things lively throughout the week with live music, karaoke, trivia, game nights and other community events. Depending on the night, you might walk in for a casual pint and find yourself sticking around for a full evening of entertainment.
Its rotating beer lineup is just as playful, with a mix of familiar styles and creative brews that keep the taps interesting.
More Than Just Beer
The breweries may be the namesake attraction, but Brewtoberfest has plenty happening beyond the taps.
Local food trucks will be serving throughout the evening, so come hungry and plan to make dinner part of the experience.
A lineup of craft and gift vendors will also be set up during the festival, giving visitors the chance to browse locally made goods and take home something beyond a Brewtoberfest memory.
Live music, yard games and entertainment will keep the street buzzing throughout the evening, while family-friendly activities make the festival something the whole crew can enjoy, even if beer isn’t what brings you Downtown.
Brewtoberfest is also part of this fall’s Artoberfest lineup, adding another distinctly Norman touch to the evening. The OU Print Club will have its mobile relief press on site for live T-shirt printing during the event.
So yes, you can spend the evening trying local beer, grabbing dinner, listening to music, shopping local makers and leaving with a freshly printed shirt.
Prost to that!
