National Weather Center
Experience the forces of nature to go behind the scenes and see the newest technology in action at the National Weather Center, where more than 550 scientists, meteorologists, climatologists, students and staff from The University of Oklahoma and multiple federal and state agencies work together to improve the understanding of the Earth’s atmosphere and severe weather events.
Tours are available for the public Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1 p.m. and for larger groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The tours are on pause through April 30 due to precautions for the Corona virus. Tours last between an hour and an hour and a half. All tours require reservations (walk-in tours are not permitted) and fill up fast, so allow at least two weeks or more for reservations. Reservations can be made online or by calling the National Weather Center tour coordinator at 405-325-1147.
