Norman Conquest

The 24th Annual Norman Conquest takes place July 13.

This year, the organizers will dedicate the 65-mile route (the Michael Grimwood route) to Cyclists against distracted driving in memory of all fallen and injured cyclists.

This is a ride for cyclists of all ages and abilities presented by the Bicycle League of Norman. The town tour is perfect for families and casual riders. The 10-, 23-, 48- and 65-mile routes prove that Oklahoma is not flat. SAG vehicles, police support, and rest stops provided. Portions of the proceeds benefit the J.D. McCarty Center’s Camp ClapHans for children with developmental disabilities.

Packet pick up and on site registration is available Friday, July 12t from 5-9 p.m. at O'Connell's Irish Pub & Grille, Campus Corner, 769 Asp Ave., Norman. Pasta dinner is provided Friday night for all participants. Also, packet pick up and on site registration is available before the ride at the JD McCarty Center beginning at 6 a.m. The ride start time is 7 a.m.
