On June 16, America will again celebrate Father’s Day, an event to highlight the vital role fathers play in families. On Saturday, June 15, a group of Norman dads will be getting together to share stories, make connections, and support each other to be better dads. This event will be held at TOLY Park and will feature food trucks, yard games, a full service bar and door prizes. Fathers Eve is held in cities across the country on the night before Father’s Day. Events bring “any and every” dad together to celebrate fatherhood, connect with new and old friends, share ideas, create community, and even support local and national charities. The role dads play in their families is changing. More dads see parenting as central to their identity yet often we need or want help, support and ideas to meet the challenge. The Fathers Eve vision is to be the place and time to connect, support, engage, and energize dads.
