Welcome to one of college football’s great shrines…the Legends Lobby at the Barry Switzer Center. When it comes to college football success, few schools can match the University of Oklahoma. Inside these walls, visitors will learn the Sooners’ rich history and overwhelming accomplishments. The three floors take you through a time line of Sooner tradition showcasing numerous murals, awards, sculptures, national and bowl trophies, interactive video, and all four Heisman trophies. Free admission. 9 am to 5 pm Thursday and Friday.

Through the University of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Centennial Commission, four heroic-size bronze statues honoring each Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Oklahoma have been placed on the east side of Memorial Stadium. The first of the series, unveiled in 2005, honored the 1952 winner and late Billy Vessels. In 2006, running back Steve Owens (1969) was unveiled. Dedicated in the fall of ‘07, was running back Billy Sims (1978), and quarterback Jason White (2003).

This 2,000 square foot facility houses the History of Oklahoma Basketball, current players, stats, records (NCAA, conference), All-Americans’ pictures, memorabilia, and interactive screens to learn about past and current players. Free admission
