Crow’s Secret Nature Center
See a large display of native snakes as well as a collection of mounted animals, furs and skulls. Year-long programs, most of them free, include fishing clinics, Dutch oven cooking, trail hikes, animal tracking and volunteer opportunities. A Park Naturalist is available for group programs outside of the park. Open 5 days a week, depending on the season. Call for current programs and hours.

Lake Thunderbird State Park
Just 13 miles east of Norman on SH9 or Alameda Street, Lake Thunderbird State Park is 86 miles of shoreline fun! This park is popular throughout the year for water sports, hiking and biking trails, camping, eagle watches, hayrides, and RVing. The lake also hosts year-round events like triathlons, cycling races, sailboat regattas and angling tournaments.

Thunderbird Riding Stables
Hit the trail for a day of old west fun at the Thunderbird Riding Stables. Ride horseback through more than 500 historic acres and actually see where the Oklahoma Land Run took place! Horses can be rented by the hour, and hayrides are available for parties of all sizes. Call for reservations.
