- Noted for its Great Plains beauty and uniquely challenging design, the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club is perennially rated among the most outstanding venues in the region and hosted the prestigious U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship in 2009. The clubhouse is adorned in regalia honoring past British Open Champion Todd Hamilton, multiple PGA TOUR winners and arguably the greatest amateur of all-time in Charlie Coe, all golfing legends that graced this on-campus masterpiece during their collegiate careers at the University of Oklahoma.
Originally designed by famed course architect Perry Maxwell, the par-72 layout stretches to 7,387 yards from the championship tees, boasting 18 holes of scenic splendor and a challenging test for golfers of all skill levels.Jimmie Austin has been named a host site for the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional Championship and the 2013 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Regional Championship, and is currently the only golf course within 50 miles of the OKC metro area named one of Golfweek's "Best Courses You Can Play" (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011). All of our golf cars feature the state-of-the-art V2 GPS system, featuring hole-by-hole flyovers, course yardage, and food and beverage options.
Offering daily green fees for public play, Jimmie Austin boasts many amenities for your golfing experience, including one of the largest driving ranges in the state, renovated short-game facility, rental clubs, large apparel and equipment selection.
Set on the eastern edge of the OU campus, the golf club is ideally located just four miles east of I-35 and a mile north of Highway 9.
